How KingsGuard Security Inc. handles personal information, and how we treat the video and access data belonging to the sites we protect.
Information we collect
We collect the information you give us through forms, phone calls, and email, including your name, organization, phone number, email address, and details about your property. When you apply for a role, we also collect your Ontario security licence number and the resume you submit.
Video and access data
When we install or manage a security system, that system records video, door events, and alarm events belonging to the client who owns the site. We access that data only to operate, monitor, support, and maintain the system, or where required by law.
How we use information
We use information to respond to quote requests, deliver and support the services you have engaged us for, process job applications, meet legal and licensing obligations, and improve our services.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers who help us operate, such as our monitoring, platform, and hosting partners, and with police or emergency services where a verified incident requires it.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as our legal and contractual obligations require. Video retention periods are set per site in the client's system configuration.
Security
Access to client systems is restricted to authorised KingsGuard personnel, granted by role, and reviewed. Cloud platforms we use apply encryption in transit and at rest.
Analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings
If you accept analytics cookies in our banner, we use Hotjar (a Contentsquare product) to collect heatmaps and session recordings that show how visitors move through this website. Form fields are masked, so the names, email addresses, phone numbers, resumes, and any other details you type are never captured in a recording. If you decline in the banner, nothing is loaded. You can change your mind by clearing this site's stored data in your browser, or opt out for every site at https://www.hotjar.com/policies/do-not-track/.
Your choices
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.
